REEFER 2012 RANGES

The varied sources of sailcloth and similarly diverse customer base mean we don't just offer our products with a classic yachting theme.

This year we offer most of our products in three distinct styles to suit all tastes.

ORIGINAL

We introduced our unique source icon logo way back in 2008 and have refined the concept every year since. By tagging one of eight different icons we indicate the type of sailcloth used, whether from a marine or aviation sail or pre-consumer recycled fabric.

The logo is also stamped with a unique code number which relates to the sail used to make the product. Entering the number on our Trace A Sail page will reveal details of the sail used, often with a photograph of it in action.

2012 sees the introduction of smart phone compatible QR code branding, directing the more tech-savvy enquirer to a smart phone formated search page where the code number can be entered to show sail data. Yet another World first for Reefer.

GBR

Our limited edition GBR range is unashamedly patriotic and classically themed with red, white and blue detailing.

We designed the logo in early 2011, mindful of the impending Olympics and the Queen's Jubilee year. Then the royal wedding came along and demand for the design went through the roof. Happy days as they say!

Primarily manufactured from boat sails the GBR range is already an established Reefer range whether you're a real sail racer or just feeling patriotic.

For those of you wondering why we're not using '2012' as a logo, it's been copyrighted by the Olympics organisers and we're not allowed to use it. We've done our homework!

VINTAGE TAN

reefer-vintage-tan-range

For the traditionalists and Swallows and Amazons devotees, our tan sailcloth range introduced in 2010 has been a huge success. Less seaside, more river bank. Detailed with a classic white stencil logo or patch logo and natural style taupe webbings and ropes.

If you have any old tan sails we'd love to recycle them, they are few and far between and we often have to make do with sailmaker's roll ends and seconds cloth.

Watch out for the new Swallows and Amazons BBC film due later this year. Swallow of course had a tanned lug sail, just like our own vintage 7' clinker pram Whit, which we occasionally find time to snooze in on our pond.
