Sailcloth is a perfect material for deck chair slings and our classic and double deckchairs have proved to be very popular beach accessories since we introduced the concept back in 2008. Flatteringly both popular with customers and much copied by competitors.

As any sailor knows sailcloth is not only durable but also quick drying if it gets wet, so it's not a big deal if you forget to bring them inside in bad weather.

Our slings mainly use heavy duty cloth from blue water round the World yachts with the panel carefully selected to incorporate an original seam detail and possibly other characteristic sail detailing.

We triple stitch each end pocket for security and use sailcloth edge binding on the sides of the slings - classic sail detailing and incoroprate our trade mark reefing line detail to hold the frame closed when not in use.

We offer a choice of logo and every chair can be fully personalised with your choice of name, text or significant 'sail' number if desired.

The frames are made for us by the last surviving deckchair factory in the country, another ethical employer who emply workshop staff with learning difficulties. All frames are FSC certified, made from sustainable European beech and are contract quality, as supplied to local authorities for park and beach use.

We could buy cheaper Far Eastern frames but choose not to. If a frame isn't FSC certified we're not interested, it means the provenance is questionable, irrespective of what marketing spin is put on it. We guarantee you can't sit on a more ethical deckchair!
